Tom & Michele Postema
Japan

Tom teaches middle and high school math and serves as a curriculum administrator and Michele teaches middle school language arts and Bible. Students from over 40 different missions and 24 countries attend the Christian Academy in Japan where the Postema’s teach. They anticipate a change in location this year, as they are resigning from CRWM as of July 31, 2008. After careful thought and much prayer over the past several months, Michele and Tom have decided to accept teaching positions at Gyeonggi Suwon International School in South Korea, a Christian school a little south of Seoul. After teaching at CAJ for 18 of the past 22 years, this was a difficult decision for them to make and they are getting used to the idea of not calling Japan their home any longer.

Joel & Jeannie Huyser
Nicaragua

Joel serves as Co-Director for Latin America on behalf of Christian Reformed World Missions (CRWM). He oversees work in Costa Rica, Cuba, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Ecuador. He presently serves as Director of the Nehemiah Center for Transformational Development in Managua, Nicaragua which trains pastors, Christian school teachers and directors, community promoters, business people, youth leaders, artists and communicators in an integral, Biblical world and life view. Although he will phase out of his present position by June 30, 2008, he will continue to have his office at the Nehemiah Center and be involved in long-range visioning. He increasingly finds himself being consulted by people who want to apply some of the best practices of the Nehemiah Center model in other parts of the world and is excited about the new strategies which are being developed.

In 2007, she became the Director of Donor Relations for Christian Reformed World Missions (CRWM).
