Ruth serves with CRWM as a Theological Educator. Based in Costa Rica, she serves the whole of Latin America through the Institute for the Promotion of Christian Higher Education and the Latin American Theological Fellowship. Both these organizations train and encourage especially Christian professionals and faculty so that, out of an integral, Biblical world and life view they will contribute to the life and transformational mission of the church in the broader community.

Joel & Jeannie Huyser
Nicaragua
Joel serves as Director of Transformation Networks for Christian Reformed World Missions (CRWM). He and Jeannie live in Managua, Nicaragua, where Joel helped found the Nehemiah Center. The Nehemiah Center equips and motivates Christians from all walks of life to work together for the Christ-centered transformation of their communities and cities. Both pastoral and lay leaders are trained in a Kingdom worldview; churches, schools, and businesses are given tools to become more healthy and effective; and grassroots networks are formed uniting churches and leaders of different denominations for mutual learning and collaboration. Now that leadership of the Nehemiah Center has been turned over to local Nicaraguan Christians, Joel is working to nurture transformation networks in other parts of Latin America and of the world. Joel also continues to supervise the work of CRWM in the five countries of Central America. Jeannie is working as a volunteer at God’s Children, a ministry in Managua to special needs children. Jeannie counsels and does Bible studies with the mothers. All of Joel and Jeannie’s children are now out of the home.
