Ghana School Project

November 2009 Update
Brick work for three additional classrooms has been completed (see photo above). Completion of the roofing is anticipated by the end of December ’09. When completed there will be a total of six classrooms.
Efforts to involve the Rotary Club International (Ann Arbor/Ghana) in providing clean drinking water is still on-going.
After the completion of the two buildings we plan to approach the Presbyterian Church of Tamale to become a partner in running the school
Present needs include additional $$ to help speed up roofing and painting of the new school building.
History
Members of our church contributed the funds to build a three-room school in Ghana for 100 kindergarten and first grade students. This school was built in 2007 and began to offer classes in summer. The photos below show the school in various phases of its construction.
