West Indies Self Help (WISH), located on the island of LaGonave, Haiti for over 40 years, is a mission sharing the love of Jesus by providing necessary support services. Ongoing mission projects include building and equipping a library, providing fresh water for a town of 35,000 by means of eighteen public watering stations, maintenance of the WISH ice plant, providing vital services such as electricity and water to a mission hospital and administrative offices as well as to staff and missionary residences, and agriculture research including growing Moringa trees in the WISH gardens. The nutritious leaves are harvested and made into a powder which is an accepted food supplement in the hospital and clinic. In addition, various leadership development programs are held and volunteers come on a regular basis to assist in the dental clinic and in agricultural and construction areas. Rod and Michelle Geiszler were appointed to career missionary service in April 2011 and presently work under the direction of WISH as the Directors.
